Featuring: Megan Kirkpatrick!

Welcome to the new blog: Friends in Flannel! Where the title tells you exactly what you shall find, my friends sporting flannel. In this society of lumbersexuals, a Humans of New York obsession, and one so attracted to alliterative appeal (see what I did there?), I figured, why not get in on the hype? Here's my little attempt at combing all three. Should go viral, right?

So today, here's the introduction and the inspiration. THE Megan Kirkpatrick.

Consider that your introduction for all of you folks who are unfamiliar with this fabric and work of art. Then go out and buy some. You're truly missing out. You can do so here. And here. And here (if you're feeling adventurous). Take your pick. You'll look great. Quite fashion forward. 

And, if you're male, you can join the lumbersexual fad that is currently trending and pick up those ladies. Wanna do even better? Throw in a man bun or a "mun." Whatever they are being called these days. Apparently they are attractive, give a sense of intelligence (if you're afraid you are not, then if it is perfectly fine to keep your mouth shut and look stoic. No reason to ruin the illusion), and allow men to experience the true troubles of a bad hair day that we woman face on the reg.

Where did I gain the inspiration for this revolutionary idea?? (No sarcasm intended). My wonderfully gorgeous friend, Megan Kirkpatrick, photographed below. 

Megan has a closetful of flannel and a heart full of love. Every day that I see her, she usually has on a different flannel shirt (quite impressive if I do say so myself) and reminds me how much her mother hates the fact that all she wears is flannel. And while Stacy and Clinton on What Not To Wear may agree, I personally think that you gotta do you. Heck, flannel is comfortable, warm, and did I mention fashionable yet? 

Megan also loves sports, such as soccer, wants to be a physical therapist when she "grows up," and cannot spell. Since it's Valentine's Day, contact me if you would like a date with her, and I will pass it on. But anyway, this is more of an advertisement for the flannel. 

When confused upon how to wear flannel, you may consult my lovely friends for outfit ideas or Pinterest is always an excellent option. You can pair flannel with scarves, boots, layer it, put it over leggings (but please, only if your buttocks is covered), or even wear it as pajamas. The opportunities are endless.
